Access Cradles

Suspended Access Cradles (sometimes called window cleaning cradles) are a form of temporary suspended access that allow workers to gain access to external and internal elevations of a structure to carry out a variety of trade and maintenance tasks – not just window cleaning!

HAKI Access Solutions have extensive experience in the supply, installation, and maintenance of these systems with a full handover and training package provided to each customer upon completion of the installation.

From our base in Kinross, we are ideally located to install cradle access systems in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Fife, Perth, and Dundee however we regularly install all over the UK.

Suspended access cradles are an adaptable, safe and cost-effective method of access when you need to get workers at height quickly and they are commonly used on a variety of structure such as oil rigs, bulk tanks, offices, warehouses, bridges, power stations, residential buildings, heritage sites, stadiums and viaducts.

Once installed a variety of trade tasks can be carried out such as cladding, glazing, general maintenance, painting, blasting, welding, and masonry repairs.

All work is carried out from a safe, handrailed platform which is then raised to the work site using powered winches with fully redundant back-up safety systems in place. Self-rescue in the event of power loss is simple and covered in the handover training.

Suspended access cradles can provide a quicker and more cost-effective alternative to traditional access methods such as scaffolding, MEWPS and mast-climbers given the right application.
